This series consists of general and a few special orders concerning officers and enlisted men of the National Guard. The Adjutant General announces changes in organization and personnel; dishonorable discharges, by name, company, date, and cause; results of elections; aurthorized attendance at the Governor's inauguration; regulation of the voluntary military forces; court martial results; annual inspection reports; regulations concerning awards; courses of instruction, training, and special camps; etc. Some reports have training schedules which accompany the field training announcement order. Schedules may also be found in the field training programs series. More recently, special orders name persons for awards and medals for meritorious service by order of the Governor. The bulk of these orders are from 1899 to 1930, with a few for 1953, 1984, mnd 1985. The series documents the Adjutant General's role in the administration of the state military service.
